How to Clean Dirty Athletic Socks

Football, soccer, cross country…fall sports are gearing up. No need to use bleach – dishwasher detergent will keep your teen’s sport socks dazzling! Simply soak grimy socks in a solution of 1 gallon hot water plus 2 tablespoons dishwasher detergent for one hour. Then, pour the socks along with the soaking solution into the washer, add your regular detergent and wash normally. Those socks will come out white and bright as new!

Clean grease stains from carpet with ease.

Whoops! A blob of gravy just dribbled onto the carpet in your dining room. To get the greasy stain out, sprinkle the spot with talcum powder or cornstarch to absorb as much of the oil as possible. Next, scrape up the powder from any large, thick areas as they’re absorbed and reapply as necessary. Once the area is dry, vacuum up the leftover powder, then treat the area with safe, non-toxic Spot Gone Carpet Stain Remover using the directions on the bottle.
