Whoops! A blob of gravy just dribbled onto the carpet in your dining room. To get the greasy stain out, sprinkle the spot with talcum powder or cornstarch to absorb as much of the oil as possible. Next, scrape up the powder from any large, thick areas as they’re absorbed and reapply as necessary. Stack bowls so they nest—the largest on the bottom and the smallest on top.
