I use my LED TAP light in the following ways:
1) Under the sink to see items in the back
2) In the closet, I placed a light under each shelf to illuminate the items
3) Because I live in an area with frequent outages (Florida), I keep an LED Tap Light in all the night tables (this year alone, I have had to use them no less than 5 times!). These are really great in emergencies.
4) I keep one in the glove compartment.
Use it inside of Jack O’ Lanterns. It is much safer than candle, and there is no risk that it will blow out!
My son has a loft bed, so we use two of the tap lights under the bed. They are perfect for his ‘fort!’
We use the tap lights in our media center…it was not pre-wired for lighting, and finding the DVD we wanted could be a challenge. We often had to pull them all out to see properly! We simply put a tap light at the top of each shelf, and now we can browse our videos just fine.
We use our LED tap lights in the various sections of our credenza to spotlight and highlight our various statutes, pictures, awards, floral arrangements and other objects d’ art.
I have a car/stroller for my grandson. When we go for our evening walks it sometimes gets dark before we get home. I put them in strategic locations on his car/stroller so he could easily be seen, as well as to help us see, making our evening walks much safer. He loves it! They look so good on his little car, most people think they came with it.
I use mine in my China closet to spotlight my pretty dishes in the evening. They look lovely.
I put them in hidden places such as under the cupboard that hangs above the toilet, etc. so when the power goes out i know exactly where lights are that i can depend on! they don’t sap electricity like lights that charge in an outlet and they are there right where and when i need them during a storm.
I use my lights in the lids of my truck toolbox. When I open the lid in the dark or winter, all I need to do is tap the light and the inside of my toolbox lights up so I can find the right tool.
Your LED Tap Lights are invaluable. How’s how I use them:
Under the computer table, tracking a problem(usually dark under there); In our hotwater heater closet(where we also have some shelves). It’s a bit dark in there, the lights help us retrieve items. In our crawl space, up in our attic in the dark nooks and crannies, behind large pieces of furniture. In a suitcase at a hotel, when I don’t want to wake up my husband to retrieve something. Let’s just say, they go, where I go and we need them every day.
I use the lamp under my couch and furnace to find my cats. I also use it in my trunk and in the tent when I go camping.

Tap lights helped solve a major problem at the school where I teach Theatre Arts and direct productions. Every few stairs of the audience seating, I placed tap lights on the vertical rise of the stairs. Ushers turn them all on before the house opens, at the beginning of intermission and during curtain call. We leave some on during the show for safety as well. Installing permanent lighting was cost prohibitive, and rope lighting was unwieldy and unsightly. Tap lights have been a perfect solution!
I use the tap lights in many ways; they are so handy.
(1) over the litter box so kitty can see at night
(2) the corded phone is in a corner under a cabinet; I put a tap light over it to enable us to see and use it during a power outage
(3)a couple in the console of the backseat of the car and in the front seat console
(4) in the dark recesses of the armoire–who knows what lurks there!?
(5)the wine cabinet
(6)the pantry and coat closet
(7)deep clothing drawers so I don’t have to turn on the lights and wake my husband
(8)our southwest style house has an entire built in entertainment wall, but no built in lighting. tap lights are great for uplighting behind baskets and other items on display.
(9)used as a headlight/rear fender light on my grandaughter’s tricycle. She was delighted!
(10)under the kitchen sink, of course
(11) on the top of the bottom bookshelf. now I see the books down there and also the dust. (an unexpected benefit)
I’m going to have to start ordering these by the case. My 4 year old grandaughter and I keep coming up with new places to use them, and she wants to take some home!
I’ve found the best “solution” for our lighting under our audio/video center in church is to use the LED tap light. We are able to remove them if needed to see in another location as well.
They are especially helpful when we are using “low light” in the sanctuary.
Even though we are in the process of updating our Sound system, I am sure I will still find a use for my LED lights.
I’m a fourth grade teacher. I use a tap light when we play math games. The class is divided into teams. Each team must solve the same problem. The first team to solve the problem sends one member of their team to hit the tap light on my desk. The kids love hitting the light. I also turn on the light when they are working in groups and I need to get their attention. When they see the light is on they quickly quiet down.
I never travel without my tap light. It is small and easy to pack with the batteries seperate so it won’t turn on in my luggage. I keep it on the nightstand. If someone needs to get up in the dark hotel room which is unfamiliar, there is no need to turn a light on. It is also a very nice and relaxing soft light for soaking in the bathtub.
We use two over the washer and dryer, which are out in the garage. The other one, I have over a shelf above my computer, and it high lights various items I have displayed there!!
We keep a tap light by our thermostat in our RV so we can adjust the temp on the heater or AC, without turning the hall light on and disturbing our kiddos. It works wonderfully!
1) I have an antique cabinet and use it to display antique depression glass reamers and cruets. Since the cabinet is antique, it isn’t wired for lighting like newer ones. I really wanted to be able to “light” my glassware but didn’t have the money to retro-fit the cabinet. My LED tap light does the trick. Placing one under the top and under each shelf really makes my glass glow.
2) Another way I use my LED tap lights is to place them ON TOP of pieces of furniture (tall pieces or pieces with decorative trim around the top) for up-lighting. This is a great way to get ambient lighting and create atmosphere.
We live in a stormy area- so during hurricanes….and any storms when the lights go out…these are comforting abnd practical for our family…
We also use them in the bathroom for ambiance when taking a bath- the kids love it and so does Mom !!
THANK YOU SOLUTIONS !!
I use them in various ways.
1) Under the sink, I have a tap light that comes on automatically when the door opens. It lights up the cleaners, etc. The plumber really liked this tap light when he installed the garbage disposal!
2) My husband and I each have a tap light on our nightstand. I use mine when I come to bed late (after my husband is asleep) so that I do not wake him up with an overhead light.
3) My husband uses his tap light at night when he gets up so that he doesn’t step on the dog! Molly very much appreciates that!!
4) Also have one in our linen/bathroom closet so I can find aspirin or Advil late at night without turning on the overhead.
5) We also have 3 of your LED motion detector lights outside. One is at the front door to light up the door lock (the front door is on the north side of the house so we don’t get any moon light and we live in the country so there is no light pollution from street lights). The other 2 are out in our equipment shed to light it up when we open the door. That has been very helpful since there is no electricity to that shed.
6) My great niece and nephew have really gotten excited about all the cool tap/mini lights I have given them. They use them at night while in bed and going to the bathroom and in their back packs and in the car, you name it – they’ve done it.
Have really enjoyed all of your LED lights and continue to find cool ways to use them.
Thanks for all of your innovative items. Really enjoy your catalog.
I Have kids that are scared of the dark. so we use it in there room.in the hall way, Bathroom, Kitchen under the cabinets, under the sink.even on there bikes when they ride at nights.
