Strawberry Freezer Jam Recipe

Easily capture berry flavor in a jar without cooking or canning! Freezer jam can be made in less than an hour, and you only need a few ingredients.

4 lbs. fresh strawberries (or three 12-oz. pkgs. frozen, unsweetened berries)
1½ cups sugar or Splenda®
1 – 1.59 oz. pkg. freezer jam pectin
5 – 8-oz. canning jars with lids (plastic jars work best when freezing)

Wash berries and remove stems and hulls. Lightly crush berries using a potato masher with rounded edges. Measure out 4 cups.

In a large bowl, stir sugar and pectin together. Add berries and stir for three minutes. Pour mixture into 8-oz. containers; add lid and let rest on the counter for 30 minutes to thicken. Store jam in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 1 year.

NOTE: You can substitute your favorite berries for the strawberries.
