Mom’s Best Cranberry Sauce

Apples and cranberries unite!

Ingredients:
2 Granny Smith apples
1 8-oz. bag whole cranberries
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup water

Directions:
Peel and core the apples. Cut into quarters, then cut each quarter into four pieces.

Put apples and remaining ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 15 minutes or until apples are very soft. Pour the mixture into a blender or food processor and blend for 1 minute until smooth. Strain in a fine strainer or sugar sifter. Chill and serve.
